Six found dead in apartment in Russia’s Saratov region

Six people, including two children, were found dead in an apartment in the city of Balakovo in Russia’s Saratov region.

According to the regional Investigative Committee, the bodies of six individuals—a 45-year-old woman, a 50-year-old man, and their two sons aged nine and four—were discovered on January 12 in an apartment, Caliber.Az reports.

Investigators believe the cause of death may have been carbon monoxide poisoning. The apartment door was opened by emergency rescue services.

A criminal case has been opened on charges of causing death by negligence to two or more persons. Investigators are examining the scene, questioning witnesses, and ordering forensic examinations.
