Spanish prosecutor requests two-year jail term for PSG striker Neymar

Spanish prosecutors have demanded two years in prison and a €10 million fine for Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar on the case of 2013 transfer case from Santos to Barcelona.

In addition to the football player, the prosecutor's office is demanding the detention of the former president of Barcelona, Sandro Rosell, Reuters reports. 

He is accused of corruption and fraud. The Catalan club faces $8.5 million fine.

The trial is due to start in Barcelona on October 17.

The Brazilian investment group DIS, which has part of the rights to the player, said that it did not receive part of the amount from the sale of Neymar to Barcelona.
