The Special Forces of Georgia, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan have conducted demonstration drills at the Georgian Vaziani Training Area as part of the "Caucasian Eagle-2022" drills.
“The goal of the Caucasian Eagle 2022 drills is to deepen the synchronization and coordination of the capabilities of the Special Forces by the special operations units of the Georgian, Azerbaijani and Turkish Defence Forces, exchange experience, increase compatibility and improve command and control of troops in a multinational environment,” Caliber. The commandos performed various combat missions, such as air support, building encirclement, and landing from an AN-2-type aircraft with a static parachute.
“The trilateral drills of the Special Operations Forces of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Türkiye "Caucasian Eagle-2022" are held annually in all three countries on a rotation basis. Last year, the drills were hosted by the Republic of Türkiye,” the ministry said in a statement.
