09 September 2025 16:43
A powerful explosion occurred on a major oil pipeline in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Russia’s Saratov region around 1 a.m. local time on September 8.
The blast reportedly disabled the Kuibyshev–Lysychansk main oil pipeline, which supplies petroleum products to the Russian military, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
The affected facility has an annual capacity of 82 million tons.
Workers were seen at the site in the morning attempting to manage the aftermath of the attack.
According to sources, this is the third Russian oil and gas infrastructure facility to be struck in just one day, following earlier explosions on pipelines in the Penza region.
