Supreme Leader urges new parliament to inspire hope and unity among Iranians

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called upon the new Iranian Parliament to foster hope and motivation among the nation as it commenced its 12th round on Monday morning.

In a message issued on the occasion, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the pivotal role of parliament in nurturing empathy and brotherhood among the people, highlighting that the members' oath signifies a genuine commitment to their responsibilities rather than a mere formality, Mehr news reports.

"The oath taken by parliament members is not a show; it is a solemn pledge that holds them accountable," the Leader underscored, adding that each member represents the entirety of Iran, thus their paramount duty is to pursue the national interests.

Ayatollah Khamenei also lauded the remarkable participation of the Iranian people in bidding farewell to the late president and foreign minister, along with their companions who tragically perished in a helicopter crash last week.
