Swedish military surveillance aircraft spotted near Russia’s Murmansk region

A Swedish Air Force Gulfstream IV signals intelligence aircraft has been spotted near Russia’s border in the Murmansk region, according to flight-tracking data cited by Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency.

The aircraft reportedly departed from Tampere Airport in Finland and headed north. After reaching northern Finland, it turned and began flying along the Russian border, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.

According to the report, the aircraft was operating about 220 kilometres from Murmansk, travelling at a speed of approximately 860 km/h at an altitude of around 13,000 metres.
