TASS: Russia uses Su-57 fighters in Ukraine

During the military operation in Ukraine, Russia uses Su-57 fighter jets, TASS reported, citing a source in the military-industrial complex. These fighters are capable of destroying all types of air, ground and surface targets.

“The use of Su-57 aircraft in Ukraine began two or three weeks after the start of the special operation. Aircraft operate outside the zone of active destruction by enemy air defense systems, using missile weapons," the TASS interlocutor said.

The fighter has been developed since the early 2000s at the Sukhoi Design Bureau, for the first time in military operations it was used in Syria. In 2019, such an aircraft crashed in the taiga in the Khabarovsk Territory during testing. The first fifth-generation Su-57 was put into service in November 2020, in the fall it was reported that the Russian Aerospace Forces could receive four more such fighters.
