Teenager arrested after allegedly setting fire to gas station in Moscow region VIDEO

A 15-year-old boy has been detained after allegedly setting fire to a gas station in Elektrostal in Russia’s Moscow Region, the Russian Interior Ministry said.

Police quickly apprehended the teenager following the incident, according to ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk, Caliber.Az reports.

During questioning, the teenager said he had been contacted through a messaging app by unidentified individuals posing as law enforcement and tax officials.

The individuals allegedly told him that the gas station belonged to terrorists and that its profits were being used to finance Ukraine’s Armed Forces. They then threatened him with criminal prosecution and pressured him to set fire to the station, according to Volk.

Russian authorities have opened a criminal case on charges related to public incitement to commit terrorist acts, the Interior Ministry said.
