Tehran and Muscat hold talks on stability in Strait of Hormuz
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi held a phone call on June 25, during which they discussed recent regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
As part of the discussions, the two sides reviewed the current situation regarding maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as temporary mechanisms planned for a 60-day period. Araghchi stressed the importance of continued coordination, bilateral consultations, and technical and expert cooperation in this field.
The ministers also expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the recent visit by the Iranian delegation to Muscat and the talks held there.
Both sides reaffirmed the need to continue consultations through diplomatic channels and emphasised the importance of sustained cooperation between the two countries on issues of mutual concern.
