Tehran’s government aircraft touches down in Moscow as US weighs targeted strikes
An Iranian government aircraft has arrived at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport amid growing speculation about possible US strikes targeting the country’s senior leadership.
According to local reports cited by the Mash Telegram channel, there are unconfirmed claims that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian may be aboard the plane.
At the same time, information has emerged that US President Donald Trump is preparing a statement that is expected to be delivered during the night hours.
Monitoring channels have also reported that US aircraft previously involved in an operation aimed at capturing Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro are now heading toward the Middle East.
Earlier, US media outlets wrote that Washington is considering the option of launching targeted strikes against Iranian security agencies and senior officials in an effort to provoke internal unrest and the seizure of government buildings.
