Tehran vows retaliation over Israeli attack on pharmaceutical plant

Iran has vowed to impose “severe punishment” on Israel following attacks on a pharmaceutical facility producing medicines for multiple sclerosis and cancer.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted on social media platform X, criticizing the strikes and warning of a strong response, Caliber.Az reports.

The war criminals in Israel are now openly and unashamedly bombing pharmaceutical companies.

Their intentions are clear.

“The war criminals in Israel are now openly and unashamedly bombing pharmaceutical companies. Their intentions are clear. What they’ve gotten wrong is that they’re not dealing with defenseless Palestinian civilians. Our Powerful Armed Forces will severely punish aggressors,” Araghchi wrote.

Earlier reports indicated that Israeli and US strikes targeted one of the country’s largest pharmaceutical companies, which produces anti-cancer, anaesthetic, and other specialised medicines.
