Temporary flight restrictions imposed at Sochi airport

Temporary restrictions on arrivals and departures have been introduced at Russia's Sochi Airport. 

The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) said the measures were implemented to ensure flight safety. The statement, published at 16:34 local time, emphasised that the restrictions are necessary to protect civil aviation operations, Caliber.Az reports. 

Earlier, airports in Krasnodar and Gelendzhik had also suspended flights for similar safety reasons. Rosaviatsiya noted that the temporary measures are part of broader precautions aimed at maintaining the safety of civil aircraft in the region.
