Tensions rise near Turkish border as SDF supporters gather in northern Syria VIDEO

Kurdish units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are reportedly directing supporters toward areas where Turkish border troops are deployed near the town of Qamishli in northern Syria’s Hasakah province, according to Alwatan.

The report says the movement of supporters led to heightened tensions along the border area. In response, Turkish border guards reportedly used tear gas to disperse the crowds. 

The situation has been widely circulated on social media.
