Thailand, Cambodia agree on 13-point ceasefire to restore border peace PHOTO
Diplomats from Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to a 13-point plan aimed at restoring peace along their shared border, following a high-level meeting held on August 7 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
According to Thailand's Government Public Relations Department, the General Border Committee (GBC) meeting concluded with both sides signing the agreed minutes, outlining measures to resolve ongoing tensions and return stability to the region, Caliber.Az reports.
“The GBC Meeting between Thailand and Cambodia has ended. Both agreed on a 13-point ceasefire implementation agreement, with representatives from both countries signing the agreed minutes aimed at resolving border tensions and returning peace to the border,” the department announced on X.

The agreement builds on an unconditional ceasefire reached by the two countries on July 28, which brought an end to recent border clashes that had resulted in multiple casualties, including among civilians.
