The Dubai party jet for hire for $15,000 an hour Luxury in the Skies

22 July 2024 02:04

The private aviation industry continues to soar to new heights, catering to the whims and desires of the world's wealthiest individuals.

Many habits adopted during the pandemic have become enduring.

For the general public, this often means choosing Ubers over subways or opting for food delivery instead of walking to the store, Caliber.Az reports citing the foreign media.

Meanwhile, for the wealthy, these habits include bypassing commercial flights in favor of private jets. The global private aviation industry has been expanding annually since 2020, with the United Arab Emirates leading the surge, known for its wealth and extravagance.

Dubai has introduced the 9H-FIVE party jet, launched in 2023 by luxury hotel brand FIVE, known for its three Dubai properties. This unique aircraft, an ACJ TwoTwenty developed by Airbus in collaboration with Comlux, departs from the typical corporate jet aesthetic to emphasize leisure over business.

The 16-seat cabin features mood-adjustable LED lighting and electro-chromatic window shades, along with amenities such as dual 55-inch TV screens, an in-flight sound system with curated playlists, smart technology touchscreens, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Designed for entertainment, there's ample space for dancing.

A 12-hour flight? Time to get in some rest.

With a remarkable 12-hour non-stop flight capability, the jet comfortably connects Dubai to destinations like London or Tokyo. For dining, guests can enjoy a fully equipped kitchen and an eight-seat dining table, offering menus sourced from FIVE’s hotel restaurants.

The cabin of the 9H-FIVE jet spans a spacious 78.1 by 10.8 feet (23.8 by 3.3 meters) with a height of 6.6 feet (two meters). Adding to its luxurious features is a Master Suite equipped with a king-size bed and an on-board shower for pre-landing refreshment.

Available for approximately $15,000 per hour, the jet offers extravagance to FLY FIVE guests and other interested parties, presenting a more economical alternative to purchasing a $100 million ACJ TwoTwenty outright.

Chartered flights are pivotal in driving this surge in private aviation, providing a more accessible pathway to exclusive travel experiences, albeit at significant cost. Since its official launch in April 2023, FLY FIVE reports that the 9H-FIVE jet has been chartered over 50 times. The clientele includes VIPs and heads of state who have utilized the jet for flights spanning Europe, the USA, UK, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Despite its popularity, the private aviation industry faces criticism from environmental groups for its disproportionate contribution to global carbon dioxide emissions. Critics point out that private jets, especially on shorter flights, are less efficient and emit higher levels of CO2 per passenger compared to commercial airlines.

FLY FIVE has informed CNN that it offsets its annual emissions by purchasing Nature-Based Carbon Credits, which support rainforest preservation and reforestation efforts. The company commits to renewing its offsetting activities annually and has been certified by Climate Offset Certification (COC), promoting transparency in carbon offset transactions.

In other developments within the private jet sector, Lufthansa Technik revealed a new cabin design for the upcoming BBJ 777-9 at last year's Dubai Air Show. This private jet variant of Boeing's 777X features the CelestialSTAR design, highlighted by the largest rain and massage shower ever built on an aircraft. The cabin includes a bedroom with a king-size bed, offering a fully private retreat experience.

The BBJ 777-9 will be the world's largest twin-engine private jet, boasting approximately 3,700 square feet of cabin space (343 square meters) and the capability to fly nonstop for up to 22 hours. Boeing asserts that this enables the jet to connect any two cities globally without requiring layovers.

However, the price tag for this state-of-the-art aircraft and its custom interior reaches around half a billion dollars, making it accessible only to the ultra-ultra-rich.

For those seeking a more budget-friendly option to party on a plane, a decommissioned British Airways 747 is available at Cotswold Airport in England for $1,300 per hour. Although it remains grounded and doesn't take off, the aircraft serves as a versatile events facility. Owner Suzannah Harvey noted in a 2022 CNN interview that the space can host a variety of events, from children's birthday parties to corporate presentations. The entire aircraft even holds a wedding license, offering the unique opportunity to tie the knot in the cockpit if desired.
