Third group of Georgian travellers arrives in Azerbaijan's Karabakh
The third group of travellers from Georgia has arrived in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
The visitors will begin their tour in Khankandi and are scheduled to visit Aghdam and Shusha on October 22, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
During their visit, the delegation will witness firsthand the aftermath of the Armenian occupation and observe the ongoing reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories. The travellers' exploration of the de-occupied areas is set to conclude on October 22.
The group is part of three delegations from Georgia, totalling 30 individuals, who are in Azerbaijan to explore the region's rebuilding initiatives. Their visit will wrap up on October 22.
The first group of Georgian travellers recently visited Aghdam, where they observed the significant damage inflicted by the Armenian occupation, as well as the restoration and construction projects currently underway. Their itinerary included tours of the restored Aghdam Mosque and the Alley of Martyrs, along with historical photographs illustrating the city before and after the occupation.
Additionally, travellers from Georgia toured the recently liberated city of Khankandi, examining the ongoing restoration work. They visited several sites, including the stadium, Garabagh University, and various historical and cultural monuments.
Overall, these visits aim to foster an understanding of the region's historical context and its current reconstruction efforts.
