Three hurt in Dagestan school shooting, no children among victims updated

The Russian Interior Ministry has dismissed reports claiming that a shooting in the Dagestan village of Untsukul occurred inside a school.

According to Caliber.Az, citing the Ministry’s official Telegram page, the statement clarified that the incident involved a conflict between six adults during which traumatic weapons were used, resulting in three people being injured.

The Ministry emphasised that the shooting took place on the grounds adjacent to the educational institution and confirmed that no exchange of fire occurred inside the school itself.

An RT source reported that the victims were born in 1995 and 1999. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A shooting at an educational institution in the Untsukul district of Dagestan left three people injured and required hospitalisation, TASS reported, citing the district administration. 

Preliminary information indicates that a shootout took place at the school, and authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Among the injured, only adults were affected; no children were reported injured.

In a separate event, local residents in St. Petersburg were reported to have opened fire using traumatic weapons during a conflict. Three people were hospitalised as a result of the altercation.

In another disturbing case, an 18-year-old student expelled from the Arkhangelsk Technical College of Construction and Economics attacked the headmaster, stabbing him multiple times in the neck and abdomen. During the assault, another teacher and several students who attempted to intervene were also injured. All victims were immediately taken to medical facilities for treatment.
