Three senior officials detained in investigation in Russia’s Sochi

Officers from Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) have detained three senior officials from the administration of Sochi, according to Russian state news agency TASS, which cited law enforcement sources.

Those detained reportedly include Deputy Mayor Yevgeny Gorobets, Legal Department Director Roman Ryabtsev, and Aslan Achmizov, head of the municipal land control department.

TASS said the detentions are part of an investigation into alleged unlawful activities. Authorities have not publicly disclosed further details about the nature of the allegations.
