Tom Lantos Commission never pays heed to consequences of Armenian occupation Statement by the Community of Western Azerbaijan

The Western Azerbaijan Community has called on the Tom Lantos Commission under the US Congress not to make ridiculous accusations against Azerbaijan.

Hearings were organised at the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission regarding the Armenians living in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan on September 6, 2023, Report informs citing the Western Azerbaijan Community’s statement.

"Luis Ocampo, who was distinguished for Azerbaijanophobia, currently being observed in some Western countries, voiced a number of insulting statements against Azerbaijan," the community stressed.

Under the statement, such hearings further inspire Armenia, which deliberately escalates tension in the region, and revanchist forces.

"The Tom Lantos Commission, in turn, was never interested in the serious consequences of the Armenian occupation, the ethnic cleansing carried out by Armenia, the suffering of the Azerbaijani people, and the fate of the Azerbaijanis deported from Armenia," the community adds.
