Survey shows strong public support for President Aliyev’s foreign policy
The Centre for Social Research conducted a public opinion analysis regarding the activities of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.
According to Caliber.Az, the agency carried out a survey among the country’s citizens covering various aspects of the head of state’s work during the first six months of 2025. The survey results showed that the citizens highly appreciate the president’s activities. Public support was especially strong for steps taken under the “Great Return” program and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories, as well as in army building, foreign policy, and national security.
According to the survey, 67.8% of respondents rated the president’s foreign policy work as “very good,” 24.4% as “generally good,” 1% as “generally bad,” 0.6% as “very bad,” and 6.2% were undecided.
The opinion analysis showed strong support for Azerbaijan’s foreign policy course, particularly in regional cooperation, geopolitical balance, and collaboration with international organisations.
The survey included 1,200 respondents aged 18 and older.
