Tragic fire in Russia’s Vladivostok claims three young lives VIDEO
Three children have died after a fire broke out in an apartment on Tolstoy Street in Vladivostok.
The blaze, which started on the seventh floor of a residential building, quickly filled the stairwell with thick, acrid smoke, forcing residents to flee in panic, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
The victims, aged three, six, and nine, were unable to escape. No adults were present in the flat at the time.
According to reports from Mash TV, security camera footage shows that the middle child accidentally set fire to the parents’ bed using a lighter.
Emergency services were delayed by around ten minutes due to obstacles in the courtyard, including plastic barriers and parked vehicles, which hindered access for the fire engine. Authorities have launched a criminal investigation.
Two nearby paid car parks were reportedly not in use at the time.
