Trump dismisses Russia's speculation over Senator Graham's death

US President Donald Trump has rejected speculation that Russia was involved in the death of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a leading advocate of tougher sanctions against Moscow and one of the co-authors of a bill seeking to strengthen those measures.

Speaking in an interview with Newsmax, Trump said Graham died from longstanding health complications, primarily related to a heart condition.

The president said the senator had suffered from medical issues similar to those that claimed the life of his father, stressing that there was no evidence of any external involvement.

Trump's remarks dismissed suggestions that Graham's death was linked to any foreign actors, attributing it solely to natural health causes.
