Turkish Army to receive SİPER SAM missile system PHOTO/VIDEO
Acceptance work has begun on SİPER, the first long-range surface-to-air missile system developed by Türkiye with national resources.
The SİPER system is scheduled to enter service with the Turkish Army in 2024, Caliber.Az reports, citing X page of SavunmaSanayiST.com.

"These days we are receiving the SİPER SAM system. It will be used by the Turkish army next year. Our geography demands 'strong economy, strong army, strong Türkiye." Today, all the conflict zones of the world in the last 30 years are around us," said ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol.
Developed under the coordination of the defence industry in cooperation with ASELSAN, Roketsan and TÜBİTAK-SAGE, the ÜRÜN-1 missile with a range of more than 100 kilometres will be used in the SİPER system.
In the following period, the SAM will be equipped with the ÜRÜN-2 missile with a range of more than 150 kilometres.
