Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Nuh Yılmaz has called for urgent, unhindered humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip and emphasised the need for increased international cooperation to achieve a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Speaking at an expanded Madrid Group meeting, Yılmaz condemned Israeli actions in Gaza, stating, “Israeli aggression in Gaza must be immediately stopped, and humanitarian aid deliveries must be fully ensured and without obstacles,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the Turkish foreign ministry’s message on X.

The deputy minister also urged the international community to strengthen efforts toward a peaceful resolution based on the two-state principle.
Spain hosted European and Arab countries for high-level talks in Madrid on May 25, in an effort to pressure Israel to stop its military offensive in Gaza and move forward with a two-state solution.
The Madrid Group, also known as the G5+, is made up of European and Arab countries that promote the two-state solution.
The meeting marked the fifth time the group of diplomats sat together, and comes ahead of a high-level UN conference on the two-state solution, which France and Saudi Arabia will host in New York, US, in mid-June.
