Turkish leading maritime defence technology HAVELSAN has started work on ÇAKA DAY-KİDA underwater unmanned kamikaze maritime drone.
ÇAKA DAY-KİDA was one of the best-known products at the past IDEF-2023 exhibition as a new naval technology designed to redefine the rules of engagement at sea, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Twitter page of SavunmaSanayiST.com.

The engineering marvel HAVELSAN ÇAKA DAY-KİDA will be a multi-dimensional platform that can operate both above and below water. Its unique design will enable stealthy and effective strikes against surface targets, enhancing the Navy's capabilities in A2AD (Anti-Access & Area Denial) missions.
The unmanned drone has a fragmentation warhead that has a strong impact on targets. The ability to operate underwater will take enemy elements by surprise and deliver effective strikes.
As reported, the maritime drone will also have a mobile/onshore control centre that provides a central command and control point for multiple platforms, and this feature will increase ÇAKA's operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Compared to existing naval technologies, ÇAKA DAY-KİDA offers unique advantages. The combination of speed, stealth, durability and firepower will make ÇAKA an indispensable element of current and future naval operations.
