20 September 2022 10:09
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has discussed peace in the region with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"Among the issues discussed were the conflict in Ukraine and the resulting security environment in the region. The importance of peace and stability for the further development and long-term well-being of the region was emphasised," Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Georgian media quoting the Georgian Cabinet of Minister's press service.
In this context, the sides noted the Georgian prime minister's role in the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, when in June last year, with the mediation of Georgia, 15 Armenian servicemen were handed over by Azerbaijan to Armenia.
