Turkish leader proudly highlights strong relations with Russia
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the Russia-Türkiye relations are multifaceted, and the economic ties between the two countries are strengthening day by day.
“Our relationship with Russia is multidimensional, encompassing political, economic, and cultural ties, as well as partnerships in defence production. There are numerous spheres of cooperation, and our interactions continue evolving, with economic relations expanding every day,” Caliber.Az reports citing the Turkish leader’s interview with foreign media.
Moreover, President Erdogan stated that the US and several other NATO member states do not want Ukraine to join NATO.
“The US does not want Ukraine to become a NATO member state. Several NATO member states also oppose Ukraine's accession to the alliance. We should make decisions based on the realities we observe,” President Erdogan said.
He emphasised that when considering Kyiv's membership, it is essential to take into account the opinions of each NATO member state.
