Turkish media: EU military aid fuels Armenia’s preparations for war

The European Union, led by France, has developed a plan to strengthen Armenia’s military capabilities, according to a report by Haber Global.

In an article titled “Armenia in Search of UAVs! The European Union (EU) helps Armenia in arming,” the Turkish news outlet highlights that Paris, New Delhi and Athens are key suppliers of military aid to Yerevan, per Caliber.Az.

"Although Yerevan is currently receiving €10 million in military aid, this support will be expanded. According to sources, Yerevan is trying to acquire UAVs to prepare for the next war," the report states.

The article criticizes the EU's dual approach, noting that while Brussels officially promotes peace in the South Caucasus, its actions tell a different story:

"EU officials say peace is needed in the South Caucasus. But the organization hinders this initiative by arming one of the parties. Armenia, sensing EU support, may stop peace talks with Azerbaijan. French officials argue that Armenia, having rearmed, could take a strong position in peace talks."

Analysts cited in the report warn that Armenia’s growing military buildup suggests preparations for a future conflict rather than a peaceful resolution.

Earlier, Caliber.Az, citing verified data, reported that Yerevan is actively preparing for war, deepening its militarization efforts.
