Turkish minister says Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan have strong mechanisms to resolve issues
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that assessing opportunities for Türkiye, the Turkish people, and the region is significant for Ankara.
According to him, North Korea is in isolation and logistics through Russia are suspended, which means Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, who have powerful mechanisms, should be invited to resolve the issues, Report informs.
Cavusoglu said without the grain agreement, there would be a severe food crisis in the world.
“Together with our ministers of energy, trade and transport, we are taking steps to strengthen both energy and transport channels. Regional stability is a significant factor. We created the Organization of Turkic States, turning it into an international organization," the Turkish minister noted.
"Is there a more active country than us to stop the war in Ukraine? Is there a country that works and gets results? We act honestly and do not take sides. We haven't stopped the war, but is there anyone else who can take concrete steps to reduce the threat through grain deals, prisoner exchanges and nuclear power plants? Without the grain agreement, there would be a severe food crisis in the world."
Cavusoglu recalled Turkish mediation in conflicts from Venezuela to Somalia, adding Türkiye is the first country that comes to mind when it comes to mediation.
