Turkish president advocates for arms embargo against Israel To halt violence
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has called for an arms embargo on Israel as a means to curtail its violence.
Speaking to journalists, Erdogan emphasized the need to prevent further loss of innocent lives, stating, "To stop Israel and prevent it from killing babies, children, mothers, and fathers, we must restrict access to weapons. Currently, many countries, especially the United States and Germany, unfortunately, support Israel's ongoing actions with the arms they provide," Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
Erdogan announced that Türkiye has initiated a proposal at the United Nations aimed at implementing a comprehensive arms embargo against Israel. He noted that support for this initiative is growing, expressing hope that it will pave the way for lasting peace in the region.
