Türkiye-Azerbaijan talks in Baku to define roadmap for future cooperation
A two-day visit to Baku by a Turkish delegation led by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz is expected to define a roadmap for the future development of trade and economic ties between the two brotherly countries, per Turkish media.
The reports focus on the 12th meeting of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and the 2nd Azerbaijan-Türkiye Investment Forum, both taking place in Baku. Leading Turkish media outlets have emphasized the significance of the upcoming events in the context of bilateral economic cooperation, highlighting the shared goal of increasing annual trade turnover to $15 billion.
According to the reports, the meeting of the intergovernmental commission will conclude with the signing of a protocol and the approval of an action plan covering a wide range of cooperation areas, including trade, energy, transport, healthcare, education, and culture.
Special attention is also drawn to the importance of the investment forum, jointly organized by the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Businessmen and Industrialists Public Association (TÜİB) and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), which aims to strengthen investment ties and expand joint business opportunities.
