Türkiye-Azerbaijan University – exemplary for Turkic world Official says
President of Türkiye's Council of Higher Education Erol Ozvar has said that the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University will serve as a significant example for the Turkic world.
Ozvar made this statement during his visit to Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He emphasised that Türkiye's top priority is to increase the number of projects aimed at enhancing cooperation in higher education across the Turkic states.
Ozvar noted that the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University has commenced its activity with programmes from three renowned Turkish universities, namely, Middle East Technical University, Istanbul Technical University and Hacettepe University.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order approving a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan and the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye on the establishment of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University. The MoU was signed in Ankara on February 19.
The agreement on the establishment of Türkiye-Azerbaijan University in Baku will take the scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries to a new level. Türkiye-Azerbaijan University will bring the experience of Turkish higher education to Azerbaijan, especially in the fields of health, engineering and IT.
