The operations were carried out under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command’s counter-terrorism department and local prosecutors, the ministry said.
Authorities said the suspects were allegedly active within the structure of FETÖ, maintained contact with its leadership, financed affiliated charitable organisations, conducted propaganda on social media and attempted to leave the country illegally.
Türkiye has conducted a sustained crackdown on FETÖ since the failed 2016 coup, targeting individuals and institutions it says are linked to the network.
The ministry expressed thanks to gendarmerie units, prosecutors and other agencies involved in the operation.
FETÖ, responsible for the July 15, 2016 coup attempt in Türkiye, is recognised as a terrorist organisation in Türkiye, Gulf countries, and Pakistan. Its leader, Fethullah Gülen, died in a US hospital on October 20, 2024.
