Türkiye, Iran agree to fight disinformation together VIDEO
Fahrettin Altun, head of the communications department of the Turkish Presidential Administration has said that Türkiye and Iran have agreed to cooperate in the fight against fake news and disinformation.
“We are committed to strengthening cooperation and sharing experiences between our countries to identify and combat fake news and disinformation. I hope this agreement, which aims to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of media and communication, as well as encourage consultation and cooperation between the institutions responsible for communication in our countries, will be useful,” he wrote on social network X, Caliber.Az reports.
To recap, Altun and Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi signed a "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Media and Communications".
A meeting also took place between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Iranian counterpart Ibrahim Raisi.
