Türkiye, Iran coordinate on peace efforts and bilateral cooperation
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation on the evening of November 13 with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, to discuss bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
According to Iranian media, the two diplomats explored ways to strengthen cooperation between their countries, emphasising the importance of advancing ties across all sectors.
During the conversation, Araghchi praised ongoing efforts to reduce tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan and highlighted the importance of expanding consultations to ensure regional peace and stability. He also stated that Iran is ready to provide support in this regard.
The Iranian foreign minister took the opportunity to express condolences over the loss of Turkish servicemen in the recent military plane crash and conveyed his sympathy to the families of the victims.
In response, Fidan underscored the significance of the collective efforts of all countries to maintain peace and stability in the region, reiterating the need for continued cooperation to uphold regional security.
