Türkiye and Pakistan have highlighted their shared expectations for regional stability following a phone call between their foreign ministers, during which Ankara welcomed the recent signing of a key memorandum in Islamabad.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar expressed optimism that the agreement could contribute to long-term peace and development across the wider region, Caliber.Az reports, citing a statement from the Pakistani Foreign Ministry posted on X.

“Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received a call from the Foreign Minister of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan.

FM Hakan Fidan congratulated Pakistan on the historic signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and endorsed by Pakistan as the mediator.

Both leaders expressed hope that this significant development would contribute to lasting peace, stability, and progress in the region and beyond,” the ministry said.
