Türkiye boosts military might with advanced armoured, reconnaissance systems PHOTO
The Turkish Armed Forces have taken delivery of new defence industry equipment, the country’s Ministry of Defence confirmed.
Zeki Aktürk, head of the ministry’s press office, said on X that the Land Forces Command had expanded its arsenal with PARS 6x6 İZCİ vehicles, a range of detection, reconnaissance, radar, and command systems, as well as Dragoneye-2 thermal imaging devices, Caliber.Az reports.
Developed by Turkish defence company FNSS, the PARS 6x6 İZCİ is designed for reconnaissance missions, providing enhanced situational awareness and improved crew comfort.
The PARS İZCİ family, which includes both 6x6 and 8x8 armoured vehicles, is a modular system incorporating a high proportion of local components.
Under the FNSS Defence ÖMTTZA project, a contract was signed in 2021 with the Defence Industry Directorate to supply 30 6×6 command and control vehicles, 45 8×8 reconnaissance and sensor vehicles, and 15 6×6 radar vehicles to Türkiye’s Land Forces’ command units.
