Türkiye set to transform into global high-tech hub

24 July 2024 16:08

Türkiye is launching the "HIT-30: High Technology Investment Programme," aiming to transform the country into a global high-tech centre.

The programme will be officially presented on July 26 at the Ataturk Cultural Centre in Istanbul, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır will open the event, with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also in attendance.

HIT-30 aims to boost investments in cutting-edge technologies, enhancing Türkiye's technological development and high value-added production capacity.

Previously, Minister Kacır discussed Türkiye's global investment prospects on a television programme, highlighting a new investment incentive system focused on green and digital transformation, high added value, and leveraging local economic dynamics.

"We will announce this through the new High Tech Incentive Programme, which our President will announce to the world. This will attract the attention of investors globally," Kacır stated.

The minister emphasized Türkiye's intent to enhance manufacturing capabilities in areas like battery and sensor technologies, predicting that these advancements will further accelerate global investment flows into the country.
