Türkiye successfully tests AKINCI strike heavy UAV with domestic ammo & electro-optical system PHOTO/VIDEO
Türkiye has conducted a comprehensive test of the AKINCI strike heavy UAV, utilizing domestic ammunition and the ASELFLIR-500 electro-optical system.
According to Caliber.Az, citing a tweet from SavunmaSanayiST.com, the tests included the firing of MAM-T munitions from the strike UAV at a stationary sea target, resulting in precise and effective hits on the designated target.

Additionally, the AKINCI drone demonstrated its capability by deploying MAM-L ammunition to destroy a moving Albatros-S maritime drone successfully.
Throughout these tests, the ASELFLIR-500 electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance, and guidance system excelled in detection, tracking, and laser targeting tasks, showcasing its advanced functionalities.
Furthermore, export agreements for the AKINCI UAV have been established with nine countries to date. Notably, this UAV integrates various munitions that are currently in service with F-16 fighters, underscoring its versatility and potential for international collaboration and defence partnerships.
