Türkiye and the UN are working to extend the Black Sea grain deal.

The statement came on March 5 from Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu at the opening of the Fifth UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries, which is being held in Doha, Qatar, reports Al Ain Turkish.

“The Istanbul Grain Initiative, which we achieved together with the UN, helped many, especially the least developed countries, as it lowered world food prices. We are working hard to ensure that it is implemented smoothly and has been extended. We discussed this issue the night before with UN Secretary-General António Guterres,” he said.
