Turkmenistan discovers tens of new natural gas, condensate fields

Turkmenistan has discovered 149 gas and gas condensate fields with reserves estimated at 4.970,768 trillion cubic metres of natural gas.

Some 139 of the newly discovered fields were located on-shore and 10 fields on the Caspian shelf, the Russian news service Prime reports, citing the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

As many as "54 deposits with a reserve of more than 2.6 billion cubic metres are in development, 11 deposits are being prepared for development, 73 deposits are in exploration, 11 are in conservation", according to the report.
