Turkmenistan to expand air fleet with new Boeing aircraft

Turkmenistan, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, will purchase six passenger aircraft of the American Boeing Corporation to expand its civil aviation fleet, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

"The president of Turkmenistan signed a decree authorising the Turkmenhowayollary (Turkmen Air Lines) of the Transport and Communications Agency under the country's Cabinet of Ministers to conclude a contract with Boeing (USA) for the purchase of four Boeing 737-8 model aircraft," the report says.

By another presidential decree, the Turkmenhowayollary agency is allowed to conclude trilateral contracts with TMHCC-AIR 1 LLC and TMHCC-AIR 2 LLC (USA) for the purchase of two Boeing 777-367ER model aircraft.
