Two dead in road accident involving kids’ hockey team in Russia's Rostov region
A serious traffic accident involving a minibus carrying a children’s hockey team occurred in Russia’s Rostov region, leaving two people dead and five others injured, according to eyewitness reports and emergency services.
Footage from the scene, published by the Telegram channel Don Mash, showed the aftermath of a three-vehicle collision. The video indicated that two passenger cars sustained the most severe damage, with one of them ending up in a roadside ditch.
RIA Novosti, citing emergency services, reported that the driver and passenger of one of the passenger cars suffered fatal injuries. The crash took place on the Semikarakorsk–Volgodonsk highway near the Potapov settlement, according to the regional traffic police.
The minibus was transporting 19 people — two adults and 17 children aged between 11 and 16. Law enforcement sources told TASS that none of the minors were injured in the accident.
Investigators and emergency personnel arrived at the scene to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.
