Two killed in missile strike on Russia's Belgorod, governor say

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched a missile strike on the Russian city of Belgorod, regional authorities said, reporting casualties and damage to infrastructure.

Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Belgorod region, said on his Telegram channel that the attack hit one of the city’s infrastructure facilities, Caliber.Az reports. 

As a result of the shelling, two men were killed on the territory of one of the infrastructure facilities, according to Gladkov.

“Three more were injured. One of them is in serious condition. They are being taken to city hospitals in Belgorod, where they are receiving all the necessary assistance,” Gladkov said.

According to the governor, the missile strike caused significant damage to energy infrastructure, leading to temporary outages of electricity, heating and water supplies in parts of the city. He also said windows were blown out and facades damaged in three apartment buildings.
