Two killed in train-car collision in Russia’s Altai

A freight train collided with a car in the Altai region of Russia, killing two people, as announced by the Transport Department of the Russian Interior Ministry for the Siberian Federal District.

“Today, at around 11:40 a.m. local time (08:40 Baku time), at the railway crossing near Lugovskoye station in the Altai region, a freight train collided with a Honda Fit. The 74-year-old driver and a 72-year-old passenger in the car died from their injuries,” the department said, Caliber.Az reports, citing TASS.

Police are working at the scene, and further details of the incident are being clarified.
