UAV attack injures two, sparks dires at Russia's Taganrog port VIDEO
A drone attack in Russia’s Rostov region left two people injured and triggered fires at port infrastructure in the city of Taganrog, according to local officials cited by ASTRA.
The incident involved strikes on both civilian and industrial sites. According to Rostov region Governor Yury Slyusar, two people were injured when a UAV hit a private house.
“As a result of a UAV strike on a private house, two people were injured. <..> On the territory of the port in Taganrog, as a result of a UAV attack, a tanker, a fuel storage tank, and an administrative building caught fire,” he said.
The attack also caused fires at the port, where a tanker and a fuel reservoir ignited, along with an administrative building. Emergency services responded to the scene, and authorities later confirmed that the blaze had been brought under control.
Taganrog Mayor Svetlana Kambulova said the attack caused damage to port infrastructure, including loading facilities at the berth.
Officials confirmed that the fire was fully extinguished and no fuel spill had occurred. No additional details were immediately provided.
