UEFA Nations League: Azerbaijan dominates Kazakhstan in home game
The national men's football team has secured the third consecutive victory in the UEFA Nations League after defeating team Kazakhstan.
The national team found the net three times against Kazakhstan in a home game in Baku on September 25, Caliber.Az reports.
An own goal in the 67th minute by the guest team's player Alexander Marochkin broke the resistance of the Kazakhs side following non-stop attacks of the Azerbaijani players. Filip Ozobic and Anatoliy Nuriyev scored the second and third goals in the 74th minute and 90th minutes of the game, respectively, to put the final score on the scoreboard.
Currently, the Azerbaijani team stands in second place in the 3rd group of League C. Kazakhstan leads the group with 13 points, while Slovakia and Belarus come in at number 3 and 4 scoring 7 and 3 points, respectively.
