Azerbaijan women’s team to face Armenia at World Chess Olympiad

Azerbaijan’s women’s national chess team will face Armenia on September 23 in the seventh round of the 46th World Chess Olympiad in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

After six rounds, Azerbaijan’s women are ninth in the standings with 10 points, while the men’s team is 12th with the same number of points. The men will face Greece in the seventh round, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The World Chess Olympiad consists of 11 rounds played under the Swiss system and will conclude on September 27.
