Leclerc: Ferrari must improve qualifying to be competitive at Baku GP

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc says a strong qualifying performance will be crucial if the team is to remain competitive at the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the race, Leclerc said qualifying had been Ferrari’s biggest area of difficulty this season. He stressed that being competitive in qualifying would give the team greater confidence heading into the race, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Leclerc also highlighted track temperatures as a factor Ferrari would need to monitor closely throughout the weekend, saying the team’s immediate priority was to prepare effectively for the event.

The Monegasque driver said he enjoys racing on the Baku circuit but acknowledged that his previous races there had been difficult. He added that it would be unfair to blame the circuit for Ferrari’s recent setbacks, noting that the team had struggled in several areas over the past few weekends.

Leclerc said Ferrari would aim to address those weaknesses and deliver a stronger performance at this year’s Baku Grand Prix.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place on September 24–26.
