Ukraine army downs 17 more Russian drones

Ukrainian defending forces have shot down 17 Russian drones in the past 24 hours.

Of these, 14 were Iranian kamikaze drones “Shahed”, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Ukraine’s “Vostok” Air Command.

"Over the past 24 hours, our soldiers shot down 14 Shahed-136-type strike drones, one Orlan-10 UAV and two more enemy drones, the type of which is yet to be specified," the report said.

Defenders specified that out of 14 eliminated Shahed, 10 drones were shot down by fighters of the “Vostok” Air Command.

The downed Shahed-136 drone was also reported by the head of the Zhytomyr Region Military Administration, Vitaliy Bunechko.

Bunechko said that Russian troops attempted to attack the region at night, but air defence forces shot down the enemy drone.
